The drivers behind the forecast

Thermal drive
The valley wind lives off the sun: it heats the valley and the pressure difference Munich→Innsbruck draws the air up-valley. Both high = strong afternoon valley wind.
Upper wind & stratification
The upper wind at ~1.5 km (850 hPa) can support or overpower the thermals. The valley↔height stratification shows whether warm air can rise: negative/small = unstable (good), large = stable cap (damps).
Foehn
A foehn pressure gradient Bolzano→Innsbruck brings downslope wind over the Kesselberg into the Walchensee valley. Positive (red) = high pressure south of the Alps, southerly flow → foehn; negative (blue) = northerly, no foehn.
