The west wind comes with the large-scale weather pattern and reaches both lakes. At Allmannsdorf at the eastern end of Lake Brombach it blows in over the whole length of the lake.
In our measurements at the Altmühlsee about one wind day in seven came with an east wind, mostly from February to May. At Allmannsdorf at the eastern end of Lake Brombach the east wind arrives over land. There we measure less than half as much wind in an east wind as at the Altmühlsee.

The values come from the Altmühlsee station of the German Weather Service (DWD). The anemometer is 12 m above ground.
